Frequently Asked Questions

You have a question? We have an answer.

How much does it cost to stay at a Thomas Owen Care Ltd home?

We work out the exact cost based on a detailed assessment of a person’s needs, so there isn’t a ‘set fee’.  Please contact us to discuss your needs further.

Can you look after physical health needs as well as mental health needs?
Yes! We have a mix of nurses and staff who are skilled in both. We feel that having a physical illness shouldn’t be a barrier to receiving great mental health support – or vice versa!
What kind of activities are there?
All our homes offer a tailored package of activities as part of a person’s treatment. This is individually assessed but we do have our own gyms, access to virtual reality devices, interactive screens, a cinema and much more. Each home also has it’s own transport, and trips out, either as a group or individually, are always enjoyed
As a family member, can I refer my loved one directly?
You can, but most of the people we care for have the involvement of a wide team of people such as community psychiatric nurses and social workers. These people would normally make the referral on your loved one’s behalf – but please contact us for more information about our homes.
Can my loved one bring their own furniture and decorate their room?
Absolutely! We will help your loved one to make it really feel like home.
